Just in time for the holidays, Dell has revealed the world’s thinnest laptop PC – the Adamo XPS. It measures 9.99 mm or just four-tenths of an inch and weighs just over 3 pounds. This pencil-thin computer has Microsoft Windows 7 pre-installed just in time for the holidays. You can treat yourself to a new PC or give this high-tech device as a Christmas gift to a very special person. And at a starting price of $1,799.00, it would have to be a very, very special person. The name Adamo means “to fall in love” in Latin, so that should settle who the XPS as a gift.

The Adamo XPS comes with 4 GB of DDR3-800 memory, a 1.4 GHz Core 2 Duo CPU, 128 GB solid state drive and a high definition 13.4 WLED display. A neat feature is a capacitive latching device which allows you to simply swipe your finger over the unit to open the LCD. Other features of this stunning PC are: When opened, the Adamo XPS is angled to support cooling. It has a replaceable battery; full size keyboard with aluminum keycaps; built-in 802.11n wireless and other advanced features. To quote Alex Gruzen, Senior Vice President of Dell Consumer Products: “Our engineers and designers are breaking new ground and throwing away old rules with the introduction of Adamo XPS.
