Panasonic has created history again in the field of television. They have recently developed the world’s thinnest flat screen television which is 1/3 inch thick. It sounds unbelievable, but this is the truth. The company has used a new technology called NeoPDP in the manufacture of the world’s thinnest plasma television. The technology has been incorporated in two models that have been recently launched in the market. The first one is the super efficiency 42 inch PDP. This flat screen achieves triple luminance efficiency and it also reduces the power consumption to just 1/3rd of the previous Panasonic models. The other model that has been launched is the ultra thin 50 inch PDP. It is just 8.8 mm thick and has the highest moving picture resolution in the world. The 50 inch PDP has 1080 lines for the moving pictures.

Panasonic has also upgraded the 37 inch LCD television with the NeoPDP technology. The present model that has been launched recently has 1000 lines for the moving pictures and also has low energy consumption. The company is still upgrading the technology and many more products having the NeoPDP technology will be resealed in the market in the coming months. All these products are HD ready.
