The L G Dare by Verizon has introduced some new features we haven’t seen before in the touch-screen phone genre. Its camera is one of the most advanced with 3.2 megapixels and has face detection, noise reduction, panorama photo stitching and a SmartPic feature for taking photos in lowlight. Another feature is being able to drag and drop icons to make your own shortcuts on the home screen or use a drawing pad to sketch a map or ideas, and send to a friend via MMS. It also has a built-in camcorder that can record high speed videos and play them back in slow motion. This feature is a first for U.S. camera phones.

LG Dare - Verizon's Top Phone

The LG Dare doesn’t have Wi-Fi and the media player and Web browser aren’t as good as the iPhone, but it is a great alternative for Verizon customers and is affordably priced at $199.00 after a $50.00 mail-in rebate. As far as size goes, the Dare’s display space is smaller than others. It is 3” wide versus 4” which means there has to be more scrolling than usual. However, the screen is colorful with vibrant graphics and clean text as a result of the 262,000 colors and 240 x 400 pixel resolutions. And you can make adjustments on the backlight, menu fonts and other displays as well as use animated wallpaper if you care to. The LG Dare has a battery life of 4.6 hours of talk-time and 15 days of standby time. It is a great product and a top Verizon phone. Feel free to check it out for yourself.
