The Apple iPod Touch 3rd Generation isn’t very different from the 2nd Generation; however, the capacities and prices are different with the 8 GB at $199.00, the 32 GB at $299.00 and the 64 GB at $399.00. It doesn’t have a built-in video camera with the focus remaining on music and portable gaming. Even without significant changes, this iPod is still the best media player on the market. It is identical to the old iPod Touch with the file support unchanged. The iPod Touch also has the best user interface and the most extras of any player on the market, with no other player offering as much entertainment.

One of the new features is speed, with the 32 GB and 64GB versions 50 percent faster than the previous iteration. It provides a faster Web experience but no flash support. In addition, the higher capacity models have Open GL EX Version 2.0 support which allows developers to create games and apps with better graphics. Other changes are software-based with Genius features and a battery life of 30 hours for audio playback and 6 hours for video. So even though the changes are minor – extra speed and software improvements – the Apple iPod Touch is still way ahead of the competition. And it isn’t easy to improve on the best.
