Amazon Kindle 2 | An Improvement over the Original Kindle
The gift of electronics is one of the quickest ways to get to a man’s heart. Most men like gadgets, electronic toys and video games to fiddle with and occupy their spare time. One of the electronic items that make a great gift is the Amazon Kindle Book Reader. That is, for those who enjoy reading. However, if your significant other does not like to read, you can always buy it and make use of the Kindle yourself or hint big-time for it as a Christmas gift. My kids gave me one last Christmas and it’s the best gift I’ve gotten in a long time. But then, I love to read.

Amazon Kindle has introduced the new Kindle 2 which is an improvement over the original Kindle that I own. A few minor flaws have been corrected and some improvements made – not overly significant to me but as technology goes, it’s considered an upgrade. I’m actually curious to see what the Kindle 3 will come out with. Nonetheless, the Kindle 2 is slimmer and sleeker than the original and has a faster processor that speeds up the device and with the 2GB of internal memory, capable of storing 1,500 electronic books. Other features include improved battery life and a built-in free wireless “Whispernet” data network – no PC needed and a built-in keyboard for notes and navigation. Unlike the original Kindle, the Kindle 2 does not come with a case, so be prepared to shell out an additional $30.00 in addition to the selling price of $259.00. That said, it’s still at the top of the list as an all-time favorite gift that keeps on giving all year long.
