Former “Bachelor” Contestant Melissa Rycroft Joins Good Morning America
Former “Bachelor” Contestant, Melissa Rycroft, Joins Good Morning America – Melissa Rycroft, former “Bachelor” and “Dancing with the Stars” contestant, has joined ABC’s Good Morning America. This announcement was made on Monday by senior executive producer, Jim Murphy. Rycroft will appear on the early show, as a special contributor, with fun and uplifting stories from around the country. Her first appearance was on Monday morning, June 22, 2009.
Good Morning America is the ABC news show co-anchored by Diane Sawyer and Robin Roberts, with Chris Cuomo, the news anchor, and Sam Champion, the weather anchor.

Melissa Rycroft is from Dallas, Texas where she attended the University of North Texas, graduating with a Marketing degree. She is a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. People magazine named her as one of the World’s Most Beautiful in 2009 and Maxim magazine included her in their Hot 100 list.
Rycroft was picked by Jason Mesnick on the Bachelor and given the “final” rose. He later changed his mind and broke up with her on national television. However, Melissa was invited to be a contestant on “Dancing with the Stars” where she made it to the finals, finishing in third place.
