David Carradine’s Family Wants Investigation into Actor’s Death – The family of David Carradine is seeking the help of the FBI as well as an independent pathologist to determine whether anyone else was involved in the actor’s death.

Police reported that Carradine’s body was found hanging naked in his hotel room closet with a rope tied to his neck and genitals, and that his death was possibly caused by accidental suffocation and not suicide, as previously reported.

Mark Geragos, attorney for Carradine’s half-brother, told CNN’s Larry King, on Friday night: “They want an investigation. I would think that the people of Bangkok would want to support an investigation and allow the FBI to go over there and assist in the investigation so that we can get the answers to questions.” Officials have said that there were no indications of other people in the room with the actor. A hospital staff indicated that no other bruises or marks, besides the ones on his neck, were found on his body, indicating the unlikelihood of foul play. Still, according to Tiffany Smith of Binder & Associates, Carradine’s management company, “All we can say is, we know David would never have committed suicide. We’re just waiting for them to finish the investigation and find out what really happened. He really appreciated everything life has to give…and that’s not something David would ever do to himself.”

Carradine’s niece issued a statement on behalf of her family saying, “My uncle David was a brilliantly talented, fiercely intelligent and generous man. He was the nexus of our family in so many ways and drew us together over the years and kept us connected. I adored him as a child, and as an adult, I admired and respected him. We will all miss him terribly and are so grateful for everyone’s condolences. The passing of someone so loved is extremely difficult under any circumstances.”
