Ethan Zohn | 2002 Survivor Champ Battles Cancer!
Ethan Zohn – Ethan Zohn, the winner of “Survivor: Africa” in 2002, is battling a rare form of Hodgkin’s disease and is undergoing chemotherapy.
Zohn’s doctors diagnosed his Stage 2 CD20-positive Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, after finding a swollen lymph node under his left clavicle, on April 30, 2009. A follow-up scan also revealed a mass on the left side of his chest. According to people.com, months prior to his diagnosis, Zohn was experiencing a skin condition which caused itching and night sweats.

Ethan, 35, the soccer player who is known for his curly hair, has battled the elements in Africa as he outwitted and outlasted his opponents to win “Survivor Africa.” Now he faces another opponent – cancer. He says: “This is the ultimate game of survivor, and there’s really only one outcome, and that’s to win. There’s no other option.”
Ethan has been traveling the world with his grassroots soccer charity, as an advocate for HIV/AIDS awareness and funding. He currently dates Jenna Morasca, also a “Survivor” winner, who vows to be by his side a he undergoes aggressive chemotherapy treatment.
