Chris Brown Blames Steroids
Chris Brown is now blaming his behavior when beating up girlfriend Rihanna on steroids. A private source claims that Brown has been using steroids for some time now and that it is highly likely the steroids contributed to the attack. According to this source (who prefers to be left nameless) “Chris started using steroids for his voice, and then he started using it more and more…I think he used it too much.”
The person says that there were benefits to him using them like how it supposedly helped make him more muscular, but everyone around him noticed that it also affected his temper. MediaTakeOut.com spoke with this source and asked the person directly if they believed the steroids were behind Brown’s attack on Rihanna. The source definitely thinks that they were, and says Chris’ temper got crazy when he started taking steroids.
I wasn’t aware of this but it is common that many singers take steroids on a regular basis to help their voice. The insider claims that just about every artist he/she knows has used it. Sometimes when singers are on tour or have laryngitis, a steroid shot or a spray can allow them to perform temporarily.
We’ll have to wait and see what effect this steroid defense will have in Chris Brown’s case. The goal seems to be to prevent any jail time for the young singer and his attorney is working hard to attain that goal. After his court appearance on March 5th the case was delayed until April 6th. Brown’s attorney Geragos was granted a continuance until this date. Rihanna’s attorney agreed to the time waiver. Brown faces two criminal charges: assault and criminal threats. MediaTakeOut.com last reported that they postponed pleading Not Guilty to the offenses. It is quite possible that the defense team for Chris Brown could plead Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity by using the “Roid Rage” as a mental disease.
