Cheryl Burke in Dancing With The Stars – Monday night on Dancing with the Stars, pro-dancer, Cheryl Burke, and her partner, Gilles Marini, earned 27 points for their samba, which was one of the hottest performances in all of DWTS’s eight seasons.

Prior to their performance, Cheryl said that the true test of how long they’ll remain in the competition is “who can handle the pressure and who can learn to dance in a short amount of time and still be able to perform.” She assured her FrenchSex and the City” star that he was doing well. “I’m really proud of him” she said. “Samba is all about shaking your butt out and having fun – it’s like a party dance – and he knows how to shake his butt, obviously.”

Judge Len Goodman remarked, “You just made a hard dance look easy.”

Gilles responded in an interview with E Online, “You know, all week long I was wishing and crossing my fingers that one of the judges would say, ‘By the way, kid, this is the hardest dance.’ People might think it’s a party dance, but hands down it is the hardest.”

Twice nominated Emmy pro-dancer, Cheryl won her first dance competition on DWTS in February 2006 with partner, Drew Lachey, and again with Emmit Smith, in November 2006.
