The well-known Oscar winning actor, Paul Newman had passed away last year, on the 26th of September. He was suffering from lung cancer for a long time. He died in his home in the Westport area of Connecticut, in the presence of his family and close friends. One of Newman close friends and business partner, A.E.Hotchner informed the media two days after his death, that Newman’s body has been cremated in the presence of family and close friends. The veteran actor was 83, when he passed away.

Paul Leonard Newman was born on January 26, 1925. He was a well-known American actor, film director, entrepreneur, humanitarian, philanthropist and car-racing enthusiast. All throughout his acting career, he has been honored with various awards. He won the Academy Awards in the year 1986, for the film The Color of Money. He had also won numerous Golden Globe and BAFTA awards along with 8 other Academy Awards nominations. He had also won several national championships, as racing driver in the Sports Car Club of America road racing. The legendary actor had also founded the Newman’ Own food company. He donated all the after tax profits from that company. On last count, the amount of this donation is well over $250 million.
