Call of Duty World at War (WaW) demo shows this error d3dx9_37.dll was not found
my friends asked me if i know any solution solve this d3dx9_37.dll file problem for Call of Duty World at War (WaW). There are 2 different solutions

1-Update & download latest DirectX version from Microsoft’s site.
2- Download d3dx9_37.dll and move file to system32 folder. Latest DirectX version already includes d3dx9_37 file so you don’T need to download d3dx9_37.dll.

Doing one of the above is enough to solve Call of Duty World at War (WaW) Missing File d3dx9_37.dll problem. But i advise you to update your DirectX instead of downloading d3dx9_37.dll.

It is no DirectX problem it is a problem with PC running more than 2 GB RAM on WinXP 32-bit system
Delete “/PAE /3GB /nolowmem” parameters from boot.ini file and the game should run!
Had the same problem myself, just found the solution…

Alright, so I have banged my head against the wall trying to solve this for days. I run Vista 32 bit, and the sound/speaker fix didn’t do squat for me. Finally, in a stroke of dumb luck, I went into my Catalyst video settings via the control center (ATI 4850) and turned on the support for DXT Textures. You can find this checkbox under 3D->More Settings.

If you are having problems with the unhandled exception error with Vista and you are running an ATI card, I highly suggest you check out this setting and make sure it is turned on.

    Hope that helps!
