WordPress

Heres the advantages of WordPress engine :

  • There are thousands of templates for WordPress
  • It can be developed by developers
  • There are also hundreds of widgets for WordPress
  • It can be made Full SEO friendly by SEO widgets
  • There are magazines templates which makes WordPress more professional
  • Advanced control panel
  • You’re free.Your blog cannot be locked or deleted due to “spam”.
  • You can change your post’s URL for a better SEO

and disadvantages of WordPress :

  • You have to pay for hosting if you want to use custom domain.
  • Your blog can be hacked.
  • You have limits like bandwitdh and diskspace.
  • The more visitors you get the more money it costs.
  • The more plugins you install ,slower it works.

Blogger

Advantages of Google’s free blog service,Blogger :

  • You do not need hosting since Google hosts your blog for you.
  • Its impossible to hack Blogger.
  • You do not have limits like bandwidth and diskspace.
  • The more visitors you get,the more money you earn.
  • You can host pictures and javascript files on Google and its free.
  • It works faster when compared to other sites.
  • It can be easily optimized.
  • Blogger is rich when it comes to gadgets.

Disadvantages of Blogger

  • There are less developers and designers for Blogger when compared to WordPress.
  • Charachters in post URL is limited.
  • There aren’t professional magazine designs.
  • You cannot create sub-categories and tags for a better SEO.

Thats all i experienced , i used Blogger and im using WordPress , i wish i had not moved to Blogger.Because it has different taste :)

    I prefer Blogger.com , it’s reliable and rock solid. We can easily find nine year’s old post as fresh as today’s entry:-)
    I used to post some articles on my wordpress.wordpress.com long time ago, after their internal code conversion some of my posts were dramatically lost.

    I’m confused. How can you host javascript files with google??? I have been looking for a solution to this everywhere!

    There is also diskspace limit for blogger i.e. 1 GB. When you cross this limit with your contents like images, you need to delet some older one.

    My prime blog (Memories) is at WP plataform. I have 3 others all at Blogspot. In my opinion, Blogger has many themes as WP now these days (i, myself make some themes for Blogger, don´t have time now). Blogger for me is more intuitive. My problem at WP is the PHP language. Some plugins has to add pages or codes, and i don´t know from the creators ‘where exactly to add this on the page’, so, many plugins i can´t use…. And, much plugins make the page go slowly. For me, i like more Blogger than WP….

    Gosu,

    I found a template you bloggerized for blogger, one problem I am having is the search form, when I search it takes me to a wordpress theme preview http://www.wptmp.com/preview/?s=leed. How do I get this to search my blog?
    The template name is Internet and was designed by Luka Cvrk.

    Any suggestions?
